“Welcome to Senegal” begins the series of the “Landing”, which is an account of my landing into Dakar Senegal, and my first ever trip to Africa. The details in the photographs show the beautifully strange experience, one I would only imagine to be similar to landing on a foreign planet. All visually stood out, from the people, the land itself, the language and customs. It was an alternate universe for a New Yorker stepping onto such an ancient land. As you scroll through the photos I hope to share the same wonderfully strange experience with you the viewer.
